7 Fortnite Skins NOBODY Uses!

Updated: May 6, 2022

With Chapter 3 just being released and a new battle pass stocked full of new skins (Hello, Spider-Man!), it's not difficult to imagine that any seasoned Fortnite player has at least one skin in their locker that they NEVER use. On that note, let's take a look at some of the most unused skins in Fortnite!

1. Royale Bomber

Only available in PlayStation 4 Fortnite bundle for a short time. Nobody uses it because it might be one of the rarest skins in Fortnite! Don’t worry, if you're still sitting on a code to unlock this skin, reports have confirmed as late as August 2021 that you can still redeem the code (even though it’s now over a year past the initial expiration date of June 28, 2020): https://www.sportskeeda.com/fortnite/news-can-still-redeem-royale-bomber-skin-fortnite

2. Trench Trawler

Based on a buoy beacon, this is a two-time item shop skin that many Fortnite players didn’t buy (1200 V-Bucks). The skin’s beacon eyes light up in the dark. It is now somewhat infamous as it has become popular skin for internet jokes & memes: https://9gag.com/gag/a3w5b61

3. Tart Tycoon

One of the most unused and overhyped skins in Fortnite history. It was a free skin if you earned 10 points in the Fortnite Cup, but it rarely gets used as it’s a reminder of the dreaded day Fortnite was removed from the Apple app store!

4. Sterling

The Sterling Skin is an Epic Fortnite Outfit from the 24k set. It is the male counterpart to the tier 100 Luxe skin that is part of the Season 8 Battle Pass. Luxe was one of the most underwhelming tier 100 battle pass skins, so it's no surprise the Sterling (for 1500 V-Bucks) was rarely bought or used. It was released in 2019 and was last available a year ago.

5. Hacivat

Originally released in Season 5, the Hacivat skin has only been released a few times in the last couple of years. When it does reappear, it only pops up intermittently and lasts only for 24 hours in the item shop each release. If you missed him, then it’s likely you’ve got a while to wait for Hacivat’s next appearance.

6. Big Head Skins

There is quite the list of big head Fortnite skins that have been released. A few to note here are Hollowhead, Jack Gourdon, Nightshade, Crackshot, Grimbles, Demagorgen, and Loki. All Big head skins come with the perception they are easier to see on the map, partially block your view of enemies, and have a larger hitbox (even if Epic claims they don’t), making them less popular amount players.

7. Thick Body Skins

There is a growing list of thick body Fortnite skins that have been released. A few to note are Big Chuggus, Venom, Thanos, Cable and the original thick skin who has made a recent comeback in Chapter 3 is the Scientist. Let's just say the thick body skins have been so poorly received to the point some players have coined the phrase “Pay to lose”.
